Dental implant: six phases, fully predictable.

First examination

Consultation and assessment.

A thorough examination of the dental starting situation and discussion of your wishes. You learn all the treatment alternatives; together we develop a treatment concept. The consultation is itself a dental service and is charged.

Volumetric tomography

Three-dimensional diagnostics.

From a digital 3D radiograph (CBCT scan) the anatomical conditions of the jaw are fully captured. Bone volume, nerve course and adjacent structures are visible in three dimensions — the basis for precise planning.

Implant briefing

Computer-assisted planning.

On the basis of the 3D diagnostics, every implantation factor is defined on the computer: number, position and angulation of the implants. You receive a thorough briefing on procedure, materials and prosthetic restoration.

Surgical guide

Available no earlier than the next day.

From the computer plan, a surgical guide is 3D-printed at the dental laboratory. It transfers the plan 1:1 to the patient's mouth. A template-guided implantation on the same day as the first examination is therefore not the standard case. Immediate implantation is possible but must be planned in advance.

Implantation

Template-guided procedure.

Implantation is template-guided, under local anaesthesia, usually within 30 to 40 minutes. No cutting of the gum, no exposure of the bone, no sutures. A very short healing phase.

Provisional

Pre-fabricated restoration.

A provisional restoration is fabricated at the dental laboratory in advance and is often inserted immediately after implantation. It protects the implant during healing and ensures aesthetics in the transition phase. The final prosthetic restorations are then made in Austrian master laboratories.
